Home is wherever I’m with you.

Okay. It’s been a while but I was reading my travel diary that I wrote here and it tells pretty much nothing. I can’t capture the feeling in photos or writing. I left the last post out. Extraordinary Bryce Canyon, absolutely incredible Zion (location where I climbed a freaking mountain and couldn’t be more proud of myself, I faced my fears!) and – ta-dah – the final stop, Vegas. Well, it’s just one crazy city and you can’t really describe it. And I feel like I should say What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas. Too much crazy stuff. You need to experience it to feel it. You can’t feel or see it by reading something I wrote. No way.
Anyhow, the tour was absolutely amazing as you all might guess. I just couldn’t believe my eyes the most of the time. Same thing happened throughout the year. I still can’t believe I lived in the USA for one whole year. Away from all the stuff that I was used to here back home. And I had no troubles at all. My self-confidence grew a lot a lot and I’m now even more independent. I have tons of new memories and friends. The whole experience.
I’ve been e-mailing with my hostfamily recently. Today I wrote my hostmom that taking a year off was the best decision ever. Specially with them. I feel like I now have the motivation to continue my studies and work for my dreams. I’m not giving up. I can never ever thank my hostmom enough. She had a huge impact on me and I wish I never forget the words I heard from her. And gosh I miss playing and joking around with my little darlings. 13 hour days were not always the most fun thing to do but everything has its flip-side. The kids made me smile and laugh. Couple of days ago I was raking the leaves at our summer cottage but couldn’t help remembering how much more fun it was when there was three joyful angels jumping into the pile of leaves with me.
I’m thankful and full of dreams. Not scared at all. Everything’s gonna be alright. Just fine.
Probably the song of the year.
Home, let me go home
home is whenever I’m with you
Home, let me go home
home is when I’m alone with you
Home, let me go home
home is wherever I’m with you
Yes I’m home
home is when I’m alone with you
P.S. I’m starting a new blog. I’ll tell the location soon. It’s gonna be in English. I like writing in English. One thing I realized last year is that it doesn’t have to be perfect as long as you’re understood. Sure my English got better but I’m not afraid of making mistakes. I don’t like them but I’m not completely fluent and I won’t be. So, suffer!
